Team bonding, culture building.
The Moorings Lakehouse is the perfect location to hold your next boutique, corporate event. With up to 12 individual beds and 8 bedrooms in luxury accommodation and a further 8 beds in four glamping tents your core team will deeply bond and overcome communication challenges after a retreat at the Lakehouse.
Workshop locations with chairs can be set up in our covered outdoor "Pavilion" or in the the "Lakeview Barn" which has a projector and large pull down screen. Break out meetings can be held on the sun deck, pagoda and jetty.
Team building activities include a private yoga class at our "Pavilion", or on the "Sun Deck" looking out over the lake . A group sauna / ice bath session in our lakeside barrel sauna. Mediation on the jetty at sunrise, a bush walk in the nearby Wallingat National Park or kayak paddle on Wallis Lake.
Standard 2night, 3 day Corporate Event Inclusions
- Exclusive use of all guest accommodations on the property: Lakefront Suite, Lakefront Villa & Lakeview Barn, up to 12 guests.
- An additional four luxury tents can be set up accomodating 8 guests.
- Use of all facilities: Barrel Sauna, the Pavilion Yoga Shala / Athletic Court, jetty.
- Access to the organic veggie garden (when in season).
- Set up of indoor or outdoor dining for your group in multiple locations.
- Set up of desired bed configuration for your group (7 days notice)
- Late 2pm check out for 3 day events.

Just a few words to sum up our experience at The Moorings Lakehouse. I recently took my team of 11 ppl to a 3 day team building retreat hosted at The Moorings. The moment the team step foot on the property they were blown away. "Total Zen" was one team members response. The surrounds and lake front environment lent it self so perfectly to the objective of the event. Not just from the moment we arrived, but in the lead up to organising all the details for the event, David and his team were across everything, focusing on every detail in the lead up but also during the 3 days to make sure the experience was 5 star all the way. From gourmet meals served at breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as afternoon and morning tea hosted at different parts of the property. To round out the workshops and team building elements he worked with me to arrange and provide really great options for team activities, like morning yoga & Ice bath/Sauna which the team absolutely loved. We also did a tour of the garden where David weaved themes of permaculture and natures ecosystem in to the themes of our team building activities. After 3 days we left feeling nourished - in mind, body and soul - and I walked away with a refreshed and reinvigorated team ready to tackle the year ahead. Room Configurations
Lakeview Barn 3 bedrooms: (sleeps 6-7 people), King bed loft upstairs (can be setup as x 2 king singles on request), downstairs main bedroom 2 king single beds (can be setup as king bed on request) + one extra trundle bed setup on request , downstairs 3rd bedroom has a double bed.
Lakefront Villa 2 bedrooms (4 people only): Queen bed Lakeview bedroom, King bed in main bedroom (can be setup as 2 King singles on request.
Lakefront Suite 1 king bed + sofa bed (2-3 people): King bed can be made up as x 2 king singles on request plus sofa can be made up as a sofa bed on request and suite divided in to two with sliding wall (on request).

Luxury Glamping Tents: 4 bell tents with up to 8 beds.
You will have exclusive use of the 9acre property* . On request an extra bed can be setup in the suite and barn to increase numbers form 12 to 14.
12 person dining location options (upon request):
Inside option: the outdoor table at the Barn can be setup inside for 12 people with chairs. (setup and chairs will be waiting on your arrival)
Outdoor Option: the covered outdoor table at the Villa, can be setup with x 12 chairs (upon request).
*Property manager resides upstairs in the Lakehouse.
Covered Pavilion: up to 36 diners .

For indoor dining a 12 seater dining table can be setup at the Lakeview barn using the barn's kitchen. For outdoor dining a 12 seater table setting can be setup outside the Lakeview Villa using the Villa's kitchen.
Larger retreats and events use the covered Pavilion for dining.

Offering a variety of superb services and mouth-watering menus, Tracy from Feast Catering is one of todays most sought after Chefs on the Mid North Coast and surrounds.
Case Study
A major Australian food wholesaler hosted their annual 2 day / 3 night corporate team building retreat at The Moorings Lakehouse. It was a wonderful success with professional planning and wonderful team engagement.
Catering was supplied by our in house chef. A daily schedule was thoroughly planned with the focus being on daily workshops in our covered pavilion and Barn with tables, chairs, white board and projector setup.
Each morning the team started the day with yoga and meditation conducted by our local yoga instructor. We hosted team sauna / ice bath / breathing sessions, after dinner fire pit socialising sessions, a kayak adventure and bush walk. Shuck & Shell’ is a fun filled foodie's journey from the paddock to the lake to the plate with summer cocktails and sunset tunes to carry you through a delicious sweet chilli crab long table lunch. We'll throw in a locally sourced Summer gin cocktail by Wharf Street Distillery and a few Wallis Lake oysters to cap off this epic summer foodie event. Maestro, Ilan Kidron from the Potbelleez will keep the good vibes and summer tunes flowing through to sunset. All of this is set on the extraordinary lake front peninsula at The Moorings Lakehouse.
